| I'm sure this has been done before but I can't find anything useful. So where's good to go out in Gangnam. I've just moved there and can't really find any good places that aren't ridiculously expensive. Are there any western style bars with beer at a resonable price?? Also preferably with a pool table... actually definitely with a pool table. |

Bars with pool tables can be found in Itaewon, a short 15 minute bus ride from Gangnam Stn. (bus #1005). Much quicker than taking the subway around and transfer stations, etc... |

Thanks Dev, sounds good but still no pool table. I know all about Itaewon but I hang out there enough as it is. I'm looking for somewhere within walking distance of my place, ie around Gangnam or Yeoksam stations.
Zappadelta, what's 4XXX and where is it? Not the most helpful post. |

Well, you can always get tanked at The Big Rock and then go to one of those Korean pool halls. They're common everywhere. |

| Yeah of course, but I like playing pool in bars while having a couple of quiet beers, not getting tanked. When I lived in Nowon there was at a bar which had free pool. There's gotta be at least one bar with a pool table in the whole of Gangnam!?? Or are people trying to keep them on the QT?? If so, pm me about one, please! |

I think he's referring to Club 4X. It's a hip-hop club and flair bar near Gangnam Station. Not sure if there's a pool table there. |

There's no pool table at 4XXX and it's not particularly cheap cuz it's a club, not a bar. Big Rock is not cheap either (I consider $3 beers to be the cutoff for cheapness). I can't ever recall seeing a pool table in Kangnam, although I'm sure there's one somewhere.
Kangnam is just a very yuppie place. It's fun cuz it's loud and noisy and there's a lot of nice-looking girls. But none of my favorite bars are there. Sorry. |

I think he's referring to Club 4X. It's a hip-hop club and flair bar near Gangnam Station. Not sure if there's a pool table there. |
They used to, but they were mainly used for dancing on instead of shooting pool. |

There's a place called "Azit". Directions are complicated and I haven't been there in a while, so be patient. Its on the little road behind the McDonalds on the main Gangnam road. There's a crosswalk for the buses around there. There's a small road next to the McD's, go up it and turn left. It'll be on your right. The sign is black with gold writing. OOhhh, I just remembered, there's one of those pizza cone places just a bit before and across from it. That place is hard to miss. So once you see this pizza cone place which will be on your left (if coming from McD street), look to your right for the sign.
Anyway, its not the cheapest place. But there's a free pool table that hardly ever got used the few times I went. And nice people.

Uncle 29 was a great place to go drinking a couple of years ago when Geronimo worked behind the bar... not so great now. |
