Has anyone seen this series yet? It's a new publication by two Dongyang Technical College teachers, Michael A. Putlack and Kum-Bae Cho. I can hardly wait to start using them with my high school classes. There are heaps of hanguel translatioins, but they're careful not to translate everything. They also come with good listening CDs, and the woman on the CD is the same one from the government listening tests.
I haven't actually started using them yet but they look great. Just a heads up to anyone looking for intermediate-level stuff for the coming year. |

| Oh, and they're cheap, cheap, cheap: W12,000 for a 184-page book (that photocopies well) plus listening CD. |

Nice, is that a bookstore or internet price? Do you think it'd also be suitable for middle school? |

That was the Kyobo Books price, as well as the price listed in the textbook.
I think the first one would be adaptable for middle school. |

Dude, I picked up a copy of English Communication 2 last week!! (After an hour of searching at Kyobo.. I laughed when I brought it to the cash after learning that the price was 12,000 won. I need a copy of English Communication 1.. I'm teaching at a middle school, and yesterday was a shocker. 3/4 of the grade 1 middle school kids, were not able to tell me their birthdays.
I'm thinking English Comm. 2 is beyond their level of English proficiency. |

| I was using English Conversation 2 this week with my grade 2 and 3 HS students and it worked pretty well. I found the excercises quite well suited for larger classes (up to 30) and they provided good variety as there are excercises the students can work on individually, in pairs, and as a whole class. |
