Simple answer -- it aint gonna happen. You need a new passport.
Next time opt for the fatter passport. You pay a small premium & get extra pages when its issued.
(Speaking only for Canadians. I believe Americans & maybe others can get extra pages added to current passports.)

schwa is correct. My 24 pager ran out with a year to go. I got the 48 pager a year ago. No clean page means no full-page visa.

Yup, its a post-9/11 law. No new pages, you must get a new passport so make sure you ask for the thicker one, its worth the extra bread.

nope. I begged and pleaded with the consulate over the same issue last year, and it ended with them suggesting I go somewhere that required a visa stamp rather than a full page sticker.

Just apply for a new passport. Pay the extra money for the 48 page one and expect to wait at least 6 weeks for it. As for the procedure I don't know so I would say be at the embassy at 8am and prepare to wait and get bullsh1ted around.

You can get a renewal passport any time you feel like applying for one.
There is no minimum time you must keep your old passport.
You can apply for a new one anytime.
It currently takes 2-3 weeks to get a replacement from the consulate.
Consular Services are only available in the mornings.
Monday - Friday: from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
Other times by appointment (if you can get someone to answer the phone)
(In spite of the ambassador showing up at a Kangnam pub to buy a few Canuks some beer our embassy actually provides a service level equal to that of a rather poor, 3rd world country - in fact I usually get better consular service from 3rd world embassies).
Mr. Ambassador - ARE YOU LISTENING??
Make sure you have the necessary documents:
birth certificate
passport
other government issued photo ID
approved passport photos
lots of money

Oh yeah, forgot to mention, it took about three weeks after applying, to have it delivered to my door in Korea. Cost for 48 pages is just 5000 won more, total cost was about 130,000 won I think. I did it easily at the consulate in Busan, no waiting, no other customer was there. I think the embassy in Seoul is more strict. I didn't have ID except a birth certificate, and of course the old passport, which for some reason seems to be disregarded as an ID |
