South Korea automakers say: Look at cars not women

Quote:
South Korean carmakers plan to cut down on the number of scantily clad models at the Seoul Motor Show hoping people will look at the cars instead.

Ok, if they cut down on the number of models that are part of these shows, then what is the use of going to them?

Oh yeah, I'm a serious gearhead.....yeah right Confused

Sounds about as good a business idea as having strippers keep on their underware so punters will better apreciate the choreography

What absolute idiots.

Yes, people go there to see the women, but as a result their cars get more exposure. They're playing to the gearheads, which probably makes up less than 40% of the people who actually go to the shows.

The outcome of this? A higher percentage of people paying attention to the cars, but less people there overall. Rolling Eyes

Here's a hint, Korean business owners; No one goes to Hooters for the wings.

At least when you go to Hooters, you pay the bill. If you just go to gawk at women at a car show with no interest in the cars, you're only getting in the way.

Korean men have no interest in beautiful and sexy women. They are only interested in cars.

Do you get that from looking for love in all the wrong places?

This is a good move. Those girls need to find more decent and morally uplifting jobs than prancing around half-naked in front of (mostly married old) men all day. Too bad it took this long for the car companies to come to their senses and find their moral compass. The police should have raided these indecent shows long ago. Korea is becoming too Westernised and depraved.

Are you kidding me? Maybe the gay ones have no interest.

If I were a car fan, I'd be happy about this news because those girls are generally not attractive at all, especially the ugly clothes they wear and the idiotic smiles.

I wonder if our auto fans are enjoying the wit of a number of comments in this thread race by some of our less quick Dave's brethren.
