I'm used to buying plane tickets online at home..
where do you purchase plane tickets in Korea?? if not online, where is it cheaper to purchase them?

Exactly the same as you do in any country...
here is a good korean website for tickets
www.whypaymore.co.kr (kor)
there are also plenty of travel agencies here and some that speak reasonable english |

Unfortunately all of the internet sites to buy tickets on are in Korean so if you dont read Korean or have a Korean person help you, you have to go to a travel agency.
There is a sticky on the general forums under travel I think that has a list of travel agents that speak English.
Personally, I use Unique Travel in Itaewon. |

Try and register with interpark.co.kr......Expedia are far more expensive in comparison |

Price shop on www.whypaymore.co.kr then phone them for your tickets (foreigners can't register on their website). If you can't read Korean yet, just make the call anyway.
They usually have 40+ people working the phone lines and many of them speak pretty good English. If you don't get an English speaker the first time, wait 5 minutes and try again.
You can pay by bank transfer and get an e-ticket sent to you or you can pay in person.
2+ years dealing with them and 20 flights - I have had no problems and have always had good service. |
