A teenage girl student of mine says she wants a 'tough' English name.
I thought of....

'Scarlett' (a nice bloody color)
'Thora' (fem. version of Norse thunder-war god)
'Vampira' (rejected out of hand)
'Rosa' (like Luxembourg)
'Illyana' (cause it's got Ill in it, yo)
'Diana' (cause she was a hunter goddess [I think] and it's got 'Die" in it)
and 'Bunny' (cause you gotta grow up tough with a name like that).

Any suggestions? She didn't much like mine.
