|
|
Hi there
Was wondering if anyone knew of a cheap way to send back snowboards to the UK.
I have already asked at the post office and they won't accept them as they are oversized and I've had a quote from DHL which was $250.
Was wondering if anyone knew cheaper companies that I could use, shipping time is not an issue as I doubt they'll be used for another year.
Thanks |

Would it be possible to ship back other things with the right size for the postoffice and check your snowboard on the plane? I know you can fly with a kiteboard at no extra charge, so a snowboard should eb fine. Other than that, I'm not sure you have many options besides using DHL. We had the same problem with a small piece of furniture a few years ago, and we ended up checking it. |

Yeah im thinking that me and my girlfirend will have to take them on the flight with us but thats a very last resort as we're flying via Thailand for 2 months which would make carrying our snowboard around very inconvienient plus theres the risk of having to airlines to try and persuade not to charge us.
Does anyone know of any private carriers that do frieght/surface postage, I already know that DHL don't but i was hoping a smaller lesser known companie might.
Thanks |

If you can package them for shipping AND you have someone who can pick it up at home you can use a freight forwarder like http://www.byklines.co.kr/2_air/2_a_ta21.htm or you can use air freight from your favorite airline. |

I can't believe you'd call yourself a teacher and snowboard! Snowboarding is for children, it's a childish hobby and a nuisance to the public. It's ok when you're 15 or 16 but if you haven't given it up then you are a worthless person and clearly don't fit the role of a teacher!!!

Well I, for one, find it absolutely disgusting. A while back I saw three white guys in Yongpyung with snowboards, playing off to the side of a ski hill and found it horribly embarrassing. Unless they all have skinhead haircuts (one of them had silly pastel-coloured hair) they can't pass for GIs, and Koreans must know they're English teachers. Think for a moment - did you ever see your teachers playing around with snowboards off to the side of a ski hill? What would you have thought of them? It's simply unbecoming to the extreme. Grow up indeed. |

Hahahahahahaha
hahahaha
hahahah
I nearly fell of my chair when i read the last two comments, hahahahahaha. Im 25 years old I've been here for a year and half ive saved $40 000 and I'm getting the hell out because of misberable old gits like you who couldnt make it in the real world, so spend their days glued to a computer with narrow minded views.
You sad lonely gits all I wanted to know was how to ship my boards home that was it but you couldnt help yourself could you, just another moan in another monotinous day in your lonely existence.
Maybe you should try and get out some time instead of waisting peoples time by writing stupid comments.
P.s have you seen the number of middle aged people who snowboard in korea, I doubt you have being glued to the computer.
Anyhow anyone with any advice on how I could send my boards home would be gratefully appreciated thanks. |
