I think, after my 2 year stint here, that i will be sending 3 boxes home to Canada. Don't ask me how I managed to collect all this sh*t. How about you? How many boxes?

Ten or eleven. And then turned around and sent them back here.

Hopefully none. I'm getting ready to leave soon and, if anything, I'm going to be throwing stuff away or selling off what I can to lighten the load.

I plan on none. I plan on selling or giving away what won't fit into my suitcases. I also live a pretty minimalistic lifestyle so try not to collect junk (clothes, books, etc). I borrow books or buy and sell. I have a few clothes that I like and wear a lot. Who really needs more than 4 pairs of pants or 3 sweaters?

The first time I left Korea after a year and ahalf it was about 4 or 5 boxes. But then I hate throwing things away.

This time around it will definately be only one or two.

It depends on the weight of the box.
Timewise it took about 3 months for my boxes to reach me in the UK.

After 2 straight years here, I sent home 6 or 7 boxes. I am trying so hard to not collect so much stuff this time.

By surface mail it's about 50,000 for a 20kg box. By air it's 133,000 for 20kgs or 153,000 for the registered EMS service.

anybody know how much 20kg costs via a service like mailboxes etc? I dont' know what EMS is.

I just know I have the post office option (i'm assuming those are the 50,000 and 133,000 options), and mailboxes, etc.

I'm probably only going to send one box, and definitely not more than 20kg.

Not Korea, but I FedExed one or two large boxes home from India every time I lived there. I'm not a clothes person but they have the best clothing in the world there, and I stocked up.

I'm thinking 4-5. I'm trying to cull as much as possible outside of my ridiculously large wardrobe (yet I still find myself saying 'I have nothing to wear.' Do I really need to send all those books? DVDs on the other hand.... they're coming with me along with my great DVD player.
