Another teacher at my school asked me teach him TOEFL.
I haven't the first clue as to how one would go about teaching this. Any advice? Can you buy books on how to teach it (Kyobo bookstore maybe)? Are there websites? Or should I just tell him I can't do it and try to find someone more qualified? How would I or he judge someone as qualified?
I would like to do it though, so any advice would be helpful. Thank you in advance.
And by the way, lessons would be at my school and with the sanction of my school principal, so please no lectures about the legality of private lessons. |

YOu can pick up infinite number of TOEFL Prep books from Kyobo bookstore.
Just spend a day out of your weekend browsing through TOEFL prep books and you'll get a solid idea what and how to teach.
They normally want you to tutor them on speaking and essay writing portion of the test. They can do the reading and listing part on their own.
You should go for it and charge him/her 50K-100K won per hour. Test prep tutoring is very very expensive. |
