Anybody got a DS lite? What's so great about it? I am pretty interested in one, but I don't know much about it. So, if you have one, and like it, sell it to me.

I have the PSP and the DS Lite. I play my DS Lite about 90% of the time. The games that are available for the DS don't look as good at the PSP, but they are a LOT more fun to play.

The best part about the DS is just the games. Mario Cart, Nintendogs, Clubhouse Games, Super Mario, etc....

The DS is region free and has a lot of different languages. Just buy a DS from a store and change the language to English. The DS lite is better than the regular DS because its smaller, has a backlit screen, and I hear the battery life is better.

You can get one of those Supercard things with the DS and put games on the flashcard. I haven't done/tried it yet so maybe someone else can talk more about that.

I am looking at buying a DS lite as well. Have found a guy in Yongsan who said he 'd put 20 games or 1GB's worth on a card for 280K. I went back a week later to the same store and another guy (with the previous guy within earshot) said he'd charge me 240K... Confused

Thanks for the reply. You almost have me sold, can you give me more reason? I went to Yongsan a couple weeks ago and they were going for 130,000 or 140,000 won for just the player and the games for about 30,000 or 40,000 each. I really have no interest in the PSP, but there is just something about the DS lite the attracts me to it.

Yeah you can get the DS for around 130k and the R4 slot 1 card and 1Gb Card for 60k. The guy saying he'll do it for you is ripping you off. Doing it yourself is really easy.

It's a blast to play.

The touch screen adds an element to gameplay that just can't be matched with graphics. It's just genuinely FUN.

That, and a lot of the content is stuff that ANYONE, gamers and non-gamers can enjoy. Point Blank, Feel the Magic, Elite Beat Agents, are all so unconventional, and the replay value is high as well.

Rubbing the screen in an upwards motion to make a guy purge live goldfish from his stomach???? Priceless!!!

Ok, so how do you do it yourself, then?
Where do you get the games *for free*?

Actually, this guy was the only one out of about half a dozen that we asked who actually offered us any deal or showed any interest in selling the DS Lite. The others we asked said "only in Korean" and went no further. Guess they're not interested in selling these things so much...

Games can be downloaded from your favourite bittorrent site or from the eonkey network (http://nintendo-ds-roms.com if you go this way)
