Anyone know any internet providers offering coverage of the world cup this month?
Found one Japanese site but they are asking about 450 000KRW and want to ship over some kind of box to me...anything cheaper that I can just link to? |

| i think www.skysports.com will be showing hightlights, but thats the best I can offer. Try having a look on www.freefootball.org and go to the 'live cricket' forum. Sometimes there are postings on there how to get live cricket for free. |

I have a friend who managed to watch the ashes live on his laptop. I am not computer literate at all so don't ask me how he did it. He was an Aussie too (I assume you are by your name), so it was great for him. I being English was only too pleased not to see it although they did restore a bit of pride in the one dayers.
Good luck |

One of the posters gave me this and apparently you can watch the whole tournament live for 160SEK....dunno how much that is as the pay system and login system is in German.
Anyone with a little more time on their hands may have a go and let me know.
I am told it is about US$60 for about 6 months...that would be great...go you aussies!!!! |

4th string,yeah,good one.
Anyways,NZ only has one team, hence the inconsistency.
I did away with my credit card ages ago.20K is ok but I don't think I want to go through the palava of getting a new one.Nor do I like giving credit card details.
The cricketworld.com has a live commentary run by some Indian chaps that sounds like it's broadcast from their livingroom.
Guess I'll try sopcast and viidoo(?) again closer to the time.Their casts were taken from CBN playing channel 9 commentary. |

| I'm not going to risk dodgy connections, credit card fraud, etc. Being the world cup and all, I'm sure the torrents will be up within 24 hours. A lot of the games will be played at odd hours Korea time anyway. I'll watch them at my leisure for free. Just got to avoid the news is all. |

| I just learned that we even had a cricket team today, but the players are all nationals from Pakistan, West Indies, etc. who have Canadian citizenship. Kind of like Australia's hockey team that are all Canadians with dual-citizenship. |

I just learned that Australia has a hockey team! You mean ice hockey right? Australia has always had a decent field hockey team.
The Canadian team's best cricketer is Jon Davison - an Aussie with one Canadian grandparent, I believe. He smashed 100 runs off 67 balls at a previous world cup. If he fires they might pull off an upset. |

Is that really good?
Yep, Australia has an ice hockey team, and for anyone interested, Korea is hosting the Division 2 World Championships at the start of April in Mok-dong. The 6 teams are: Korea, North Korea, Australia, Israel, Mexico, and Iceland.
And, just for an interesting fact. Australia holds the ice hockey record for largest blow-out when they beat New Zealand 58-0. (And if you don't know, a typical hockey game is about 4-2) |

John Davison born in Campbell River, BC. Played a bit for SA and Vic with little success before spending the 1999 off season in Canada as a player/coach. Then moved through the ranks to become captian of the Canadian team. |
