So, I guess with this school they want you to serve and eat lunch with your students. The hours are also 9 to 6... with the last couple I guess for lesson planning for the next day.

Thoughts? I mean, I guess you are getting a free lunch. Anyone have any further info about the chain?

I eat lunch with my kids if I feel like it or if that's the only time open on my schedule. But then I work middle / high school.

If they are making you work 9-6 and it is a compulsory requirement that you eat with the kids, I would say don't take it. Most likely will you not only eat with the kids, but you will also have to serve them, and help clean up after them once you are all finished. I don't know about others, but if I was working that many hours of my day, my lunch time woul be hands-off SACRED. Sometimes I will want to go home and eat my own delicious Western style spaghetti in complete silence instead of udong with so much noise around me. Or sometimes I will want to join my foreign/Korean colleagues for lunch to let loose and unwind rather than sit around to babysit during my lunchtime. The only compensation you may get for this is like you said, free food. That's one advantage.

I'm with the previous poster. My lunchtime is my one opportunity to be alone. I work in an office of 8 people, at a school with over 1200 elementary kids. I can't walk to the bathroom without saying hello about 15 times. The best part of the day is when all the other teachers leave the office for the cafeteria and I can enjoy 20 minutes of peace.

As for the type of school, or information, I do not know. However, 'bambini' in Italian means 'babies.' Perhaps this is the age group you will teach?
