Hello, I have a question about using Let's Go student cards. Are there specific games you can play with the cards or are they just basically flash cards? I know I can make my own games, but I was hoping that there would be something already made.
Anyone out there have any ideas?
It seems a shame that there are these great cards available, but no game ideas to go with them. I don't have a teacher's manual, so I can't check.
Anyway, thanks in advance.

There are games that you can play. One thing i do is put the cards down on the ground of table and have the students move a game piece around them and make sentences.
babger your boss to get the teacher books. |

You'll have to pair the kids up, but "Memory" is a classic that kids love.
You'll need two of each card. Put them in rows face down. Turn over one card, and the object is to find the other card in the pair, saying each card each time (get the word wrong, no credit), and saying "They are the same" or "They are different" each time.
The first team to find all of the pairs wins. |

A really chaotic but fun game? Put them in a big pile... two teams... one student per team... call out a card and first one to find it gets a point for their team... might want to follow Rike's suggestion for laminating... I have many torn flashcards from this activity |

Thanks for the suggestions. I have thought of the matching game, but the cards are quite expensive, so far I only have one of each. (The boss is too cheap to buy these) I am hesitant to use these with the younger kids, as they just grab them and start throwing them arond the room. If I could only get them to try a game before they start getting caotic, they might find that it is actually a fun activity.
Anyway, thanks again.
