Hey there! My wife and I lived in Bundang for one year (July 2005 - July 2006), teaching at a hogwan, and loved it! We worked at GDA, and it wasn't bad at all (great supervisor, teachers, etc.) but we are looking for some place new (slightly better pay, less hours, etc.) to work at, this time around (we'd like to start mid-July again).

Does ANYONE have some great recommendations for some upstanding, decent, fun, good-paying, respectful hogwans in Bundang? We are interested in kindergarten, and some elementary.

I've already seen that we're to AVOID Kid's Club, Kid's College, Wonderland, so:

Give us some GOOD PLACES to apply to! And thanks for your time! Smile

I know someone who substituted at Worwick Studio and thought it was ok. I don't have the contact info, but they advertise on daves sometimes.

I think there was an ad on WorkNplay a while back for a kindy + elementary school near Jeongja. From what I remember the hours were about 9-5 for 2.4 or 2.5. I think there is a 1 or 2 hour break somewhere in the middle of that shift. The name was Best Kids, though I don't have any contact info

Sounds impossible... besides Bundang is absolutely FULL.

Try Shanghai, China.

I work at worwick. pay is ok. Definately hiring at the moment. i think we will be hiring again soon. Good program and very helpful KTs. You work 9-4:30 with at least an hour break everyday.

Wow, that's a lot of teaching.

I knew a girl that worked for Worwick and she loved it. She taught kindy and she seemed to get a lot of satisfaction from the job, though I wouldn't recommend kindy for everyone. She never really complained about the place, other than the other teachers were quite lazy sometimes

I think most places which require teaching kindy offer around 2.2-2.5 with experience

Thanks for everyone's help so far! Incidentally, before I get to Worwick, I'm just curious - what does everyone here consider to be "normal", or "good", working hours? Because frankly, 9 - 4 to me sounds awesome! Last year, our schedule at our old KINDY hogwan was 9am to 2:20, then a 20min break, then two more hours, from 2:40 to 4:40. And THEN, two days a week, we had OT, from 4:50 to 6:50! So, I'm used to longer hours - but I'd definitely take shorter hours, with more pay. Smile

Now then - does Worwick have a website, or anyone have any contact info, etc? Thanks!

Go to the job board and search for "Worwick"

Looks like they pay hourly, but they have the working hours that you desire
