So last night I went skateboarding at my secret rain spot. It's a concrete park area built under a large overpass so it stays dry. It's usually pretty empy and there is generally no one there.

So i'm skating when a white sonata rips in and almost hits me (this is a no cars allowed area). The cars drives past and down into the darker part of the area. 4 ROK soldiers and one plain clothes guy get out and stand around smoking. I continue skateboarding but they keep watching me pretty intensively.

After about a half hour one of the guys walks over to me and says, "sorry, please move, now we unload guns here." Then a pretty big transport truck drives in. However, it wasn't a military truck. An officer and another plain clothes guy get out of it while another soldier parks another sonata at the entrance to the area so as to block the view of any passers by. Two soldiers stand guard with machine guns while the others pull out a huge rack of guns from a dark corner behind a pillar.
They load up all the guns into the truck. Then all three vehicles drive away in seperate directions.

Now, maybe I'm confused a bit about military procedure, but don't they usually load guns into trucks at military bases and not in dark areas unde bridges? Don't they also usually carry military equipment in marked military vehicles?? Did I just see an illegal arms transaction...

I would hope anyone involved in an illegal arms transaction would have more sense than to tell a witness, "Now we unload guns here."

Then again, H.I.K.

Maybe the guys who bought the guns bought those tanks too.
Should have taken a picture with your cell phone. You could have gotten a reward.

Yeah I was surprised. It's strange I even noticed them. There's a small highway near a tunnel thats normally got almost no traffic. They came from there, came off this highway, turned right and drove right by - 2 tanks and a jeep with the taeguki. It all looked fairly normal, except that they looked like they knew the roads very well, like they'd been driving that way every day. It was just a bit unusal for me to see it.
