What's the spread on your work week (meaing hours and types of classes)? I'm in an elem. school, and am teaching 25 hours. The school has about 1100 kids. I might have to pick up an extra hour a week for a teacher's class. So basically all I do is teach kids (that's okay), and maybe 1 hr for the teachers.

Also, what do you do for your teacher's classes? I have about 4-6 teachers who can speak enough for light conversation, and the other 35 don't know much, if any, at all.

18 classes, 45 minutes each. I teach more than 1440 students, which is insane at times because I only meet them once every 2 weeks. I was just told this afternoon though that after the summer break I may get to meet the 1st graders once a week and the 2nd graders every 2 weeks. I won't have to teach the 3rd graders since they'll be preparing for their high school english exam

I'm "supposed to" teach the other english teachers for 1 hour a week and 12 other teachers for 1 hour as well. I've only taught this class once because they have been cancelled for various reasons (homeroom teachers meeting, parent meetings, etc.)

I will be using the Let's Talk book, Interchange (i know it sucks), and a pretty good book "Small Group Discussion Topics for Korean Students"

I have 25 hours with 40 minute classes, but I get to teach all of the students once a week. The 3rd and 4th have only 1 english class a week, and the 5th and 6th have two, so I get to teach the 5th and 6th only one of their two classes. BUT, at least I get to teach them all within one week.

Seeing students once every 2 weeks would be tough!

What does everyone think about Interchange?

I would only have to teach the teachers once a week for 40 minutes, so was thinking of just gathering authentic materials for it, but if there is a good textbook to use, I would be interested.
