I just read the article about a P-38 Lightning WWII aircraft being found on a beach in England ( http://www.cnn.com/2007/WORLD/europe/11/14/britain.ww2.plane.ap/index.html ) which is great as I remember building a model of such a plane as a kid.
Well, it was discovered because of the erosion of sand after being buried for half a century and I made the possible connection to global warming. Is the warming of the planet's surface helping to reveal long lost artifacts from history?
For example you have Otzi the Iceman discovered in melting glacier in Austria and the mystery of the missing Star Dust flight was solved after parts and remains were recovered again from a melting glacier. |
