Anyone know if the May 1st intake for Gangwon province Public schools will have an orientation period to begin with or will we/I just be chucked in the deep end and expected to pick it up as we go along? cheers me hearties!

You will probably be thrown into the deep end. That's the way they do it here. It's not as bad as it sounds though. Ice-breakers, introductions, level testing, and just good ol' fashioned "doing nothing yet disguising it as work" normally fills up the first few weeks to a month.
