Forecasted temperature for Saturday:
Seoul: HIGH 11 LOW 5

Jeju: HIGH 16 LOW 13

Jeju's low overnight will be higher than Seoul's daytime high !!!
Now, I live very near the southern coast of the peninsula (in a river valley between Jiri and Namhae), and it'll be much like Jeju here, more so in that snow skips here but hits there, as there was no snow on the ground here in the winter (as it wasn't on Geoje island off the southeast coast the previous four years) but there was in Jeju.
Last weekend someone posted about some dark storm and rains near Seoul but there was only sunshine here in the southernmost area.
Not to mention the lack of yellow sand suffering down here.
So let's remember there is a variety of weather in this country (some posters seem to forget this fact).
And feel sorry for me: I'm headed to Seoul on a shopping trip tomorrow, that's how I noticed the friggin' diff in temperature! Gotta get my jacket out of the closet. |
