So I want to change my IPS cause I'm getting crap bandwidths/download speeds from KTF Mega-pass lite, probably due to the fact that the cable coming into the room is not a cable at all but a tiny wire like you would have on your i-pod. Today my co-teacher called the co and they told her I'd have to pay to complete the THREE year contract that the previous teacher signed...around 300,000w. Any ideas to get out of this mess? |

I'd just say..."he signed up. Not me. i ain't paying jack. I'm signing up for this other one. If you don't like it, sorry."

Are there any other providers that you can go with? |

I have both KT and Tbroad connections. Both are premium connections and both are connected to my computer for load balancing.
Anyway Tbroad kicks KTs A!S!S when it comes to speed and bandwidth |

You didn't sign the contact. Simple as that. You may be paying the bills to date but it's in her name. Just tell them to hassle the previous teacher. Otherwise to come and cancel it. They other teacher will have to deal with the bad credit. I'm pretty sure if you don't pay the bill and it is in her name then it's her problem. If it's in the schools name then that may be a different matter.
My 10M connection is nice. I wish I had gone for the 50M and forgot about the cable TV but the missus will need it. |

Meanwhile, some of us have LG Powercom and are running a 100mbps cable from the wall. |

I have 100M KT service at my officetel. The KT office is right across the street from me. I've personally seen 3megabyte up and 2 megabyte down while torrenting (public trackers though). I'm sure if there were some korea-based torrents, it would fly. |

So, KT turned off my net last night and I won't have to pay for the full year. My co-teacher explained to them that the former teacher who signed the three year contract had left the country. Anyway, contacting Tbroad today but can't decide whether to go w/ the 50m or the 100m. |

great the only company that won't sign up foreigners.
I used to have KT. I broke a two year contract early because I wasn't happy with the service...I didn't have to pay out the full two years. However, for a two year contract, I received a discounted rate and I had to pay the difference from the discounted rate.
It's possible to change the username on internet accounts. For example, I signed a three year contract with Hanaro to get a really low price. If I leave before then I can get a friend to take over the contract...but my friend has to agree to it and give them all his/her information. If you didn't agree to taking over the KT contract then there is nothing they can legally do. |
