Assuming the Kor-US FTA gets approved, does anyone think it will create more jobs for native English speakers who can speak Korean?

I my mind, there's pretty much no doubt that it would. Increased trade, increased cooperation, increased need for bilingual people. The question is how large these increases will be.

If you live in the US then it might be an importent qualification you have but you'll need others(business knowledge). If you live in Korea I don't think there will be many opportunities unless you're familiar with Korean customs and socialising...then again you will probably have other job responsibilities.

My co-teacher used to have a job as translater so I might ask her. You got to remember that a lot of Korean business men speak good English.
