Hey evenryone.
I have two possible jobs through Pagoda Academy and Park English. If anyone has worked for either of these two I would really appreciate any feedback you can give me on your experience. Thank you.

Park English has a good rep among the teachers she places and seems to stay in touch after the contract starts. As for Pagoda, I knew some people who liked working at the Pagoda in Daegu. The apartments were kickass and in a great location. Teaching at an adult school like Pagoda will involve teaching splits. Like 7-9am and 6-9pm. Some people loathe splits, however, I would accept splits if it fits with the schedule of your personal life. If you want to study Korean at an institute or university, working splits would offer the most flexibility to meet the language program's hours, as opposed to a traditional 2-8pm, 3-9pm schedule. But, if you plan on getting tanked a lot throughout the week, then splits aren't for you. Beyond that, I don't know much about their recruiting or placement history.

Park English has been great so far. I got a great apartment in Suji, my school is reputable and reliable, and they stay in contact with you and help you out after you get here. Not a bad choice...

Park English set me at a good school. I have really no complaints about it.

However, no one met me at the airport. I arrived a 9 pm. No one was there to meet me. I called the Park English rep from Seoul Incheon airport. She seemed freaked out about it. I waited til <<past midnight>> for a driver to come.

What pissed me of is why didn't the rep just come to the airport and drive me to my new school. She kept saying "We have a driver coming" "Oh can you forgive me!." I was too polite to respond, "Sure get your ... to the airport yourself and take me to my school".

I had never been treated so poorly upon an arrival to an international destination. Never again.
