There used to be a "Hard Off" store near Myeongil station (line 5), but last time I went, it was gone.

Hard Off is from Japan and they sell second hand electronics, musical instruments, CDs, DVDs, tapes, LPs, watches, cameras and camera lenses, ...

I don't know if the store in Korea (it was the first one, I believe) simply closed down or moved to another place, but if you could get a Korean to look it up on the Internet for you, and if it's still somewhere in Seoul, you could probably find what you need.

There's a place but it's bit out of the way. It's in dongdaemun where they sell all those closet. It's about 10 -15 min walk from the main area. When you get out of the station on the stadium side. Keep on walking til you pass all stores and such. When you get to the next intersection you make a right. Keep walking and you'll start seeing small shops from tools to adult stuff. when you see some street restaurants turn in and ask where they sell cameras and such. It's sorta like a maze so it's hard to explain where exactly it's located. you have to look around

I agree, Namdaemun is your best bet. Yongsan will try and rip you off more than other places I've been.
I don't see the point in buying used lenses in Korea though, at least from shops. Their prices seem almost the price of new ones.

Check out www.danawa.com or www.omi.co.kr and get a Korean to help you if your Korean's not good.

every store in namdaemun has some used lenses ... check around a few stores before you buy ... prices vary a lot depending on the popularity and availability of the lens and brand.

joong-go lenses are what you need to ask for.

You could also try your luck with an auction web site in Korea. I got myself good stuff for cheap doing that, but you'll need Korean help: http://www.auction.co.kr/
