Let me tell you something-Fire Marshal Bill was very good in this movie. I won't give away what happens, but I would recommend this movie. It's probably his second best SERIOUS role- Just behind "Man on the Moon."
Lloyd Christmas has been taking acting lessons, that's for sure.

I saw it a little while ago. I thought it was pretty bad. Kinda left the theatre wondering how they could mess up a pretty neat idea that badly. Just my opinion though.
My fav Jim Carrey movie is still "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind" |

Heres my beef with the movie. He just adds numbers together to get 23...why doiesnt he go one step further and add 2 and 3 together? The movie should be called 5. Maybe Im wrong, I havent seen it. |

You haven't seen the movie, yet feel an irrepressable need to comment upon it?
Yoo rawk, dood!
I haven't seen "Letters from Iwo Jima" yet, but I think it sucks. I mean, it's about the Japanese during World War II, right? War sucks. WWII Japanese sucked. So the movie probably blows, right? I rawk, doodz! |

Ive seen enough adverts. You didnt reply to my point. Ill make it again. Since he seems to just add numbers together to arrive at 23 why not go one step further and add 2 and 3 together and call it 5?
I didnt say the movie stinks. Im making a simple point about the premise of the film.
I actually want to see it. I like Carrey, I think he has very good range and I think he might be better at these sorts of films than the Ace Venturas. My fav Jim Carrey film is Cable Guy simply because he plays a psycho and does it well. |

Saw it last night. It was entertaining enough, didn't feel like I wanted my money back. I give it 6.8/ 10 |

the plot sounds very similar to "stranger than fiction" though I have NOT seen 23 (at least from the writeup on imdb).
Jim Carey is FAST become oscar worthy in my book...very fast. Eternal Sunshine on a spotless mind is just....unbelievable. Everything about the movie was perfect IMO. |

Eternal Sunshine blew me away. Carrey gets a pass from here on out for mediocre movies like Fun with Dick and Jane. |

He reminds me a bit of a modern day Jimmy Stewart, who started off with mostly comedic roles but matured into a fairly serious dramatic actor.
He'll win an Oscar eventually. I felt ESOTSM was his best performance to date as well. The Truman Show also showed quite a bit of his range.
His delivery of the weepy line "My ass is really sore" from Me, Myself, and Irene should have at least won him an Oscar nod. |

The movie is not that good. When you find out whatever it is to find out about the "suspensful" ending, you're like, "So what?" I was expecting something really good and got shite on a stick.
23. Yeah. So what. Big deal. Go crazy. Cute scene. With dog. In beginning. Tries. Look promissing. Outcome. Plot. Too convenient.
I can sew my arm back on. You can't. |

"Dumb and Dumber" was one of the greatest comedies in movie history- on a level with anything done by Jerry Lewis, Bob Hope, or the Marx brothers. Seriously. |
