Very interesting! So it appears that Apple is trying to take on Microsoft Vista, and the DRM issue (that's just my guess). Could you see Apple growing because Vista has so much DRM built into that it starts losing people to Apple?

DRM: Digital Rights Management

They lock the music you download so you can't transfer it to others, or another machine (other than your Ipod, for example).

Vista is starting to restrict the play of non-DRM music files by Media Player.

Definitely. No jackbooted Nazi is gonna goose-step his way into my system and tell me what I can or can't do.

I'm happy with XP for the time being but if it comes to the crunch in a couple of years, I'd be inclined to go with a Linux-based solution.
