Has anyone else dealt with this? I have this so-called Korean friend who keeps saying we will meet, and then she always finds a way to not meet me. For instance, my birthday party. She sends me a message saying she couldn't come 'cause her friend was in a car accident that day and she was with her at the hospital. Yeah, right-o. I don't believe her. Also, I asked her to help me find a place, and she has asked twice already when we can meet to got there. I tell her when and she never meets me. I wish the idiot would just tell me how to find this place, and I can go alone. I honestly don't need her to go there with me. I am not 12 years old. I don't need her to go with me and hold my hand. But, she will never tell me how to get there. She'll only keep saying she knows how to get there and when can we meet. Stupid. Give me the directions, fool!!! |

Cancelling appointments or postponing appointments are subtle ways Koreans tell you they're not interested in you.
Also, if someone of the opposite sex only agrees to meet you on Sundays, that too is a bad sign. You're officially in their "foreign friends" section. That's two sections down from GF / BF, and one section down from Korean friends. |

I don't care! I just want directions to the place, instead of her acting like we have to meet to go there. She is withholding info I want. That's all! |

Simple then. Get new friends. Don't get hung up on one who is obviously trying to avoid you. |

friendship is a 50/50 thing, give and take. I think of like dating or a game of tennis. if the other person doesn't return the ball, then I stop playing.
I don't call again if someone hasn't called me back. |

I love the irony of someone referring to someone else's sheer stupidity while at the same time generalizing an entire culture based on one person. Great job, Alys.. er, Princess. |
