In New Zealand degrees are equal if recognised by the NZ qualifications authority.. eg University, Politechnics and Private institute's bachelor degrees have to be similar standard or are not registered..this takes at least a few years of scrutiny to satisfy this criteria... however save yourself some agro.and in my case money..they arent acceptable in Pusan.. |

Ummmm, no their not. There are 8 Universities (Read: Colleges) in NZ, and a multitude of private education providers. A standard Bachelors degree or higher from one of the 8 NZ Unis will be acceptable, a Diploma from a polytech will not, this is I believe the same for any country. |

Eight these days right??
Something done at the degree level is what's required.
It's(Whatever you have) not exactly going to be recognised as a degree after the particular place "reaches" Uni status somewhere down the track.Don't know where you're coming from on this one,nor for that matter which "private institute bachelors you're talking about. |

Hahaha. At a stab I'd say tutorus didn't get many credits 'achieved' in NCEA English.
But seriously, NCEA, what an absolute joke of a system. It's the biggest reason why I'm not teaching PhysEd in NZ at the moment.
The P.E curriculum was crap to start with, but add NCEA to the mix and you have the weakest most ridiculous excuse for an education system ever. They'll never see this teacher in NZ again. |
