I'd like to get one that works as a computer monitor and as a TV for my bedroom.

Here's a couple I'm looking at:

LG Electronics Flatron LCD 3200T (almost 1.3 million won Shocked but nice good looking monitor, 1600 x 1200 resolution)

Here's a 42 Incher:

1 and 1 LT-4232AKD (1.1 million won - cheaper, 10 inches larger, but lower resolution-1366 x 768 )

Which would you go for? I will use the monitor equally 50% of the time for for computer use and 50% of the time for watching TV/movies. Both are wide screen monitors.

I would get two monitors for the computer. This way if you only need one you can use the other for tv and still use your computer. - actually I already have that set up in my computer room and I'm itching to get a 3 or 4 monitor set up.

I think you might find the resolution of the latter monitor a bit low for computer. You might also have to sit a little further away from it than with the first one.

If you have a bigger room then you would probably go with the bigger screen so you can sit further away. The 10" difference is not that significant when you can just simply sit closer/further.

I don't understand how true gamers have time to post on forums. Especially gamers with 32" monitors.

The whole bigger monitor thing gets a bit out of hand after a while. I was really impressed with my 17" computer monitor a few years ago and now it takes a 32" monitor to give me that same exhilirating feeling of 'impression' in the face. And it's the same thing with mp3 players. An 8 giga bite player used to be the dogs bollocks, I could store a million jazz albums and 200 new age instrumental shite on one second of every button but now it gives me stress if an mp3 player isn't at least 20GB. So where does it all end...western people visiting africa and stealing all their natural resources just to power our latest technology?

We've got to think about George Bush.

Go with the first one. The resolution is far too low on the 2nd one, given its size.

I have a 42" LG XCanvas LCD, and it's a TV-first monitor, although you can plug computers into it. The resolution is 1920x1080, and it just doesn't look that great as a computer monitor. Just doesn't have the resolution it needs at that big of a size.
