ok, it is embarassing, but I get cold sores, and I need to have aciclovir cream. right now I am in Latin America where it is pretty cheap, in Canada it is expensive. What is the deal in Korea? Shold I bring a years supply, or will I find a cheap generic Korean brand there?

Cheers

I thought cold sores were caused by herpes simplex 1 virus. I have never had one of those things.

It's cheap and easy to find here in any pharmacy...

The kind we have now is "아시클로버" and i think it was 3-4 thousand won for 10 grams.

I use a tube of Abreva. Such a small amount is needed that the tube will expire before I use it all.
I haven't tried to get it here. I'll probably just buy a new tube on my yearly visit to the states.
I got famcyclovir for herpes zoster and it was very cheap. I printed off the pages of info on all the related drugs and took them to my pharmacist. It really helped in the communication.
