i am sure like me, a lot of you have a ton of extra time at work, so i am thinking of getting a play by email civ 3 game going that we can play online.
play by email means only one person must be playing at a time, he then emails the game to the next person, so we do not have to coordinate a time for everyone to be one.
the drawback of this is it will be slow, since only one person can play at a time, but i think it will be fun still. if you are interested, send me a pm with your email.
if there is enough interest, i will post how to download and send the file for those that dont know how.
and PM me with any civ preference you have. |

That would be painstakingly slow - wouldn't it be better to arrange a time when we can all play by ip connection? |

yes, i was thinking about that. it will be slow, so people will need to send it asap. i think slow is better than impossible to get everyone on at the same time though.
i know my schedule is pretty busy, i can fit in 5 minutes for a turn a lot of times during the day, but if someone asked for a one hour chunk, good luck.
of course, if there is a lot of interest in a simultaneous game, and someone else wants to organize it, go for it. |

I think Sunday evening's would be a good time as people won't be too tired and should be home after any trips during the weekend. I'm free any evening and/or weekend, so it just depends when you guys are free. |

I'd definitely be in either way...I like the Civ series. I'd have to buy it though...I think I can download it from direct2drive.com Where do you get your video games? I heard somewhere in Yongsan they sell the English versions....can anyone give me specific directions?
I've got Company of Heroes, if anyone is interested in playing. |

I'm interested in a play by email game. I think you should limit the number of players for email games, though. Anything more than 4 people would take way too long. My only questions are about compatability. Would mac versions work with window versions and who has regular civ versus civ complete? |

So, are there four people out there who'd be interested in playing Civ 4 simultaneously? If so, we can arrange a time and date. |

i messaged the people that expressed interest in playing the civ email game, when everyone replies i will get that off. the map size will be determined by the amount of players, and the civs will be random. i will send out the email list when we start as well, along with instructions on how to send and download it. looks like it will be about 6 people playing. that is good, so it wont take too long. |
