Johansen's gonna sing an album of Tom Waits covers. I think it's a good idea. You?
I'm too drunk to explain why I think so, but I'll stand by my opinion later, if need be.

anything involving Scarlett Johansen is good idea. Anything involving Tom Waits is a good idea. Somehow, this could go terribly wrong. She must drink whiskey and chain smoke Lucky Strikes, then it will probably be OK.

Wonderwoman(Linda Carter?)did a record with George Benson which wasn't so bad.Seeing her on TV battling the Nazis the other day reminded me of it.

Don't know if Scarlett Johannson can sing yet.Mostly I just stare at her serving wench figure.

Well, Brittany Murphy sang Paul Oakenfold's Faster Kill Pussycat and did a pretty good job.

Is it going to be early Tom Waits stuff or the 'found music' Tom waits? If she can sing, I could see her pulling off some of the Closing Time or Heart of Saturday Night Stuff. Somehow, though, I can't imagine her singing "Sixteen Shells from a Thirty-Ought Six" or "Filipino Box Spring Hog."

ps though... When you hear her interviewed, she DOES have a bit of rasp in her voice.

If Tom Waits thought of it, OR, condones it, well, I'll give her a chance at least.
