But didn't get much help.
I got a 125cc scooter and I can't get a plate without proof of insurance.
What insurance company should I contact? I'm sure there are many, but a place with English support would be best. I live in Bundang, but I don't mind heading out to Seoul to meet them.
Any help would be awesomely appreciated! |

I can't give you any specific information about insurance for the bike, but from what I heard, make sure that your health insurance doesn't find out that you are riding a motorcycle, your premiums will sky rocket. I have no proof of this, only what a trusted colleague of mine has told me. |

I told you that, Polonius... it won't cause your national health insurance to go up, but it will if you carry additional insurance (like me).
If I were the OP, I'd look for Samsung insurance. I used to carry Daehan motorcycle insurance, but their rates are a bit high. Used to be able to get it at the post office, but not anymore.
If you want, you can call Gina Jun at AIG insurance, but she'll only refer you to another company. AIG no longer carries motorcycle insurance. You can listen to her on my podcast, if you scroll down the page on this link:

I got my insurance. Phew.
Now I need to get my foreign license (Which is so far away),
and register my vehicle. I have no idea where to register...the vehicle is from Seoul, but I live in Bundang, where do I register this sucker...
I hated the DMV back home, but at least they were close. |
