Someone posted some really nasty *beep* about some highschool on this forum. It's a reputable school according to Korean standards but she says she was treated like garbage and the students didn't take her seriously. They didn't even get marked for her class so they didn't really care.

This actually sounds like an ideal situation regardless of the remarks made. I am just going to Korea for the money and I really don't give a rats ass what the students or the other teachers think. I know it sounds odd because teaching is a passion but personally? Last time I did that in Korea I ended up leaving that country and paying an extra $200 bucks for my flight so I wouldn't have to stop in Seoul. I really am going for the money and nothing else. I was just wondering how others felt about this arrangement. Meaning at least I know the scoop beforehand which is a huge plus I would say for my part. However would any of you still go if others deemed it as a nightmare?

If you don't give a rat's arse why are you flying half way around the world to take up a job when you could get a bank loan for the money you need at home?

Which you should have in teaching if you are going to be working as a teacher in Korea in the public school system.

Stay at home please. It's hard enough here with the slackers we already have.

Hey op, don't take this the wrong way, but with your 'sucks to yer athsmar' attitude this school and you might be a happy marriage. I'm referring specifically to your 'can't break the monotony so I'll break the contract' approach.

Are you stupid or trolling? Fergetaboutit. My response was not an attack at all, and your half-wit riposte only confirms that I'm right. A healthy dose of 'screw you' goes a long way around here.

Of course, there's no way I'll be working with you so I am encouraging you with impunity.

Keep eating the Kimchi, and I wouldn't want to work with you because we are not in the same league. I'm a real teacher and you're a has been.

That's hilarious. I am a certified Canadian teacher and I have a public school job here in Korea, with no foreign colleagues. Like Milton's Satan your logic is very thought-out and your intuition is simply wrong. I've had my fill of 8 page flame wars, so you're on your own, chud.

OMG your tag is so appropriate.

This has got to be a flame-troll. Wasn't there someone about six weeks ago who popped in with the same attitude and everybody told him to p1ss off? He then apologized and promised to make nice.

OP, just the mere claim that you are better than people you have never met or know nothing about means you have zero credibility. You go from zero to 60 in three posts. How much patience do you have in a classroom for kids who need not three tellings, but ten? Don't bother to answer, it was rhetorical.
