Here are 3 reasons why I hate Hi-Mart and why I will probably never shop there again. Has anyone else had a negative (or positive) experience at Hi-Mart?
1. Pushy sales staff - not allowed to roam/browse
2. Flat out refused to enroll me in their point card system
3. Sold me a display model item, refused to give me a discount on it, didn't have a box for the item and still made me buy a bag to carry it out in. |

Well, the pushy part is annoying, but not only practised there. As for my experience, well, I spent just over 10 million won furbishing our home for what would have cost us nearly 25 million.
I'll take that annoying following any day for that savings (oh, yeah, wife's younger brother's best friend is the manager of the branch near us...so bonus care was afforded to us...so my experience(s) there may be unusual).
I am not sure of the problem you had regarding the point card system... hmmm.
!shoosh,

Wow.
I would have been ready to leave after #1. i would have be out the door by #2.
If I was having a good day and decided to stick it out, #3 would have caused me to ask for a refund. |

| I had a few "meh" experiences at Hi-How-are-ya Mart. What sort of crap did I get there? Oh yeah, heaters and maybe some crap for the kitchen. Real dongnae ajumma consumer electronics fare, that's what that place is all about. Yeah, so they have some TVs, so TFW? Nitwit-Mart, and that goes for the shop slaves AND the customers. What a Korean dump. |

Absolutely! Consistently the most aesthetically offensive ads on Korean TV. And we all know the competition for that title is rather fierce... |

I always thought Hi-Mart and similar shops are way overpriced ?
Aren't they much more expensive than E-Mart and the internet?
I remember when I shopped around for a Tv I found E-mart 15% cheaper than those places for the exact same make and model
I understand why people go there for the sales but i always wonder why people go there and buy the same product they (especially Koreans) can get way cheaper online |

I've always hated shopping at Hi-Priced Mart.
Actually, I just look around there, then decide what I want and buy it at Youngsan for a lot less. |
