I was wondering if anyone could translate these classroom language phrases.

Say that again please.
One more time, please.
I can't hear you.

I dont understand.
Please explain.
What does ____ mean?

How do you spell it?

Can I borrow a pen or a pencil?

and can anyone help with any other classroom language that might be important?

I skip the last one. Whatever. Kid's quiet, lettem be...ㅋㅋㅋ

When there's hand-sniffing, tho, I gotta draw the line.

Op - with new groups I use 'One more time' for 'repeat that', 'what is the meaning of that' for 'explain that', and 'spelling' for 'how do you spell that. These are transitional phrases, in the sense that as we go along I phase in the full phrases. There is no substitute for 'Can I borrow a pencil?'.

These are ones my coteacher used to always say.

Sit up straight. - 똑 바로 앉으세요.

You continue to talk? (Like, why are you still talking, you should be quiet now) - 계속 얘기 하래?

You want to go to back to your classroom? (punishment, because homeroom teacher will kill them) - 교실로 가래?

And then, a few minutes later - 교실로 가!!!

She was young, but strict, in a good way

I use these 2 a lot..they are simple, effective and to the point. I only ever have to say it once and they stop(for a little while).
