Ok well Im a gyppo and I have a teaching cert. I can teach English high school in the states.
I did my whole student teaching and I know I don't feel like dealing with disciplinary problems, when I teach in Korea. Therefore, I want to teach adults/uni students.
Hagwons..well I don't trust them unless I get the inside deal of how the workplace is. However, they don't seem to be offering what I'm worth. I know I have a slim to none chance of getting a uni job because I don't have the funds to go job searching in Korea and afford a plane ticket.
Lastly, I want to teach in Seoul because I have family/friends there and I enjoy a good nightlife.
Is it too much to be asking for 2.3-2.4 with housing and paid 10 days vacation?!
Any suggestions of where to be looking would be appreciated. |

Get a high school position with SMOE/ETIS.
Up to 6 weeks vacation, 2.2 mil + extra classes can get you up to 3 million won per month + housing, medical, pension, severance, air ticket....
Build some networking for the UNI position next year. |

| If you don't mind split shifts you should have no trouble finding an adult hagwon job. If you have relatives who can put you up for a while you may even be able to scout some places out before you sign. |

| As a fellow job searcher let me tell you what I have learned so far-adult teaching jobs are near impossible to find without split shifts. I did see 1 located on worknplay yesterday. I have seen 2 uni's advertised for, but they are not located in any major city. Just something you'll have to decide. |
