Ha ha, no naughty, I'm not talking about that...
No, the one where you get a heavy person and sit them in a chair. Then say, four kids each side tried to lift the chair as high as they could together and it was bl**dy heavy.
Then you did that thing where you all placed a hand over each other's (not touching) above the seated person's head and then slowly removed them in the same order.
Then you would be able to lift the person in the chair together easilly using only a finger each.
Anyone else do that? I have and yes it works. Pretty cool.
the question I have for anyone who knows is - HOW THE HELL DOES THAT WORK????? WHAT MAKES THE PERSON LIGHTER...?
Is it just that the group is more foccused or what?
I really want to know, so please, please.....

My highschool had 500000 dollars worth of pneumatic equipment. I took that course and made a can crusher 
For the thread...
Stand in a doorway and push your arms against the door frames (not just your hands, your arms). After a bit, move out of the door frame and your arms will lift |

Seriously, hundreds of you must have tried this. Everyone at my High school tried it in Scinece class. Nothing paranormal about it.
I wasn't very interested in science classes though, so can't remember the explaination of how it works..... |

I heard about it but thought it was about crushing eggs with one hand. I'm waiting now for my kids to come in so I can try your experiment out.
Today we are going to be experimenting with the verb 'to lift'. |

Okay, I'll try.
First, you sit someone in a chair. Then three or people stand either side of the chair and using two fingers, each under the person, they try to lift him / her up. One person under each arm and one or two persons under the legs.
It will be too heavy.
So next what you do is this -
Everyone stands in the same places either side of the person in the chair. lets say the person on the far left on one side puts their hand, open and palm down, a few inches above the seated persons head. Their nieghbour then puts their had a few inches above the first hand, but not touching and keeps it there. This continues untill each person has one hand placed and there should now be a stack of hands, untouching. They then each (keeping their hands where they are above the person's head) add their other hand in the same fashion. The hand placing should be done slowly and carefully.
Now, when this is complete, the person who's hand is top, removes his hand and each person follows suit, one by one and when all their hands are gone, they all place a finger under a leg / arm and try to life the person again. This should be done quickly, without too much hesitation.
Suddenly, they are able to lift the seated person easilly. They actually seem to fly upwards...!
It really works and it is really surprising.
I've done it before at school and my friends and I did it a few times outside of school until it became boring... I just don't know how to explain why it works. |

I poured a cup full of coffee into the vice-principal Mr. Schmidt's desk drawer.
Hypothesis: He'd mention it on the school speaker announcements and everyone would laugh.
My accomplice eventually coped a plea and the experiment failed: two weeks detention, as a janitorial assistant. |
