| Hey everyone. I was wondering what timeframe to expect from the point of applying with a recruiter from the US to the point of actually starting your job in Korea. Can anyone provide some guidance? I will be getting a visa processed but I have already been to the embassy to get certified copies of my diploma and such to try to expediate that process. All I'm looking for is a rough estimate or what you yourself experienced. I'd appreciate any help. Also if you want to throw in a recommendation for any recruiter you've dealt with recently feel free. I've been scouting the prior posts on it but if theres any new experience you'd like to add feel free to PM me. Thanks. |

If you are doing things the LEGAL way and getting your visa BEFORE you get on the plane it USUALLY takes 12-21 days from signing the contract to getting on the plane.
4-7 days Sign the contract and FEDEX the HARDCOPIES of your documents to Korea.
1 day for your boss to get down to immigration.
4-7 days - process your visa confirmation number
1-2 days - boss gets the number and sends it to you via e-mail from Korea (instant if you never sleep).
2-5 days to get your visa in your passport and get to the airport. |
