Summer is upon us, and getting away for the weekend is enticing. So to enliven your adventures, I present a link to the ferry page.
http://www.seomtour.net/
It's pretty much all in Korean, but if you can read Hangeul, you should be able to find most of the information you need. Click on Incheon Port and follow the links to the different ferry companies. There are also links to different islands' home pages.
A description of the Incheon islands in English:

Enjoy. |

I just took the Cameillia ferry from Busan to Japan.. a great trip.. it leaves every day from Busan at 22:30 (boarding stops at 19:40) it arrives in Japan (Hakata) at 06:00. A great trip.. it costs about 65,000 for a spot on in a room of 15 (sleeping on the floor with provided blankets) but the real deal is the 1st class cabin.. only 80,000 (per person) for a two bed room (with a window.) The ship is big and it's pretty relaxing. Arriving at 06:00 is great, because by taking that ship, you've saved a night of hotel and have the entire day fresh upon arriving in Japan.
The hydrofoil costs about 95,000 and leaves every few hours and only takes 3 hours.
Just FYI, Korean Customs does X-rays and metal detector scans on all incoming passengers from Japan at the ferry terminal. |
