I am selling my ajoshi bike. I don't want to but I want to buy a new bike without adding to the herd.

It is a lespo Standard, I bought it a year ago for 160 000 won.

It is super cool in my books, single speed, solid as hell, and coasts fast.
They come in any colour, as long as its black.

Here is a picture from the samschuly website www.samchuly.co.kr

I'll get my camera and take some photos of my bike soon.

What on earth is a "Lespo Standard"? A search on google reveals no exact matches. If it's some kind of scooter/motorbike, I'll take it. If not, good luck to you!

Cool bike. I'd grab it but I don't want to add to my herd either.

It is true that it is a bit hard on hills, but it is just about a perfect speed for me. I can climb all but the steepest hills, and I usually don't spin coming down.

I actually ride up more hills that I see geared bikes going up. Just stand up and push.

Does anyone know if it's possible to change the gearset on the these ajeoshi bikes? I mean could you turn this thing into a really stylish MTB with 21 speeds? That would be a sweet bike.

You'd have to swap out the crankset/bottom bracket and cold bend the rear dropouts to fit the wider hub. It'll take a lot of blood and sweat but it can be done. I knew a guy back in Portland that did it to an old beach style cruiser and it looked smokin'.

you would also have to dump the chain guard.
If you only wanted to add 7 rear gears you could just add a rear derailleur.

Or better yet, I have an old 3 speed internal gear hub that I would throw in for 30 000 more.

The drop outs are also horizontal so you could make it into a real kicking Fixie.

The brakes are rod operated
rear drum brake

Yeah, on that note, you'd also probably have to find someone to tack on a piece for the rear derailleur and then get it tapped. The front derailleur wouldn't be a problem because they clamp around the bar.

many rear derailleurs are sold with a bolt on hanger, so no problem there!
