Did you forget that you're in Korea?

A guy selling sacks, big deal. You want the cops to shake down every seller in town -- demand some kind of authentication for what they sell?

A guy selling fake LV. Yeah, big deal. A guy selling it openly in front of a cop shop without a worry in the world, that's funny. I know this stuff is easily available on the streets of New York etc. but one would never see a guy setting out his little table right in front of a cop shop.

I second that. I like Mindmetoo and I know where many of his loyalties lie... at least on other boards, so I am fully in favour of Mindmetoo spouting off personal beliefs... I may even chime in with some of my own.

There is no god.
There are too many useless laws.
There are too many useless cops that do not enforce the useful laws.
Sock monkeys rule!

His mom and dad thought that were would be a nuclear armageddon so he lived most of his life in a nuclear shelter. When 20 years later they found out they were wrong, little mindmetoo had to go into the world..with hilarious consequences.

Is it just me, but is calling someone naive right up there in the most patronising things you can say list?

As if police have been trained to identify counterfeit goods. I prefer police that serve ONLY to keep the peace. No disturbance = no need for police.

On the other hand, I'd guess that 70% or so of the posters here download digital content illegally, which is even worse than crap knock-offs. Oh where is the outrage?

It isn't hard to know what is counterfeit and what is not. An LV bag doesn't cost $100 bucks, nor is it sold on the street. It isn't rocket science.

Police departments in Korea are separated. At that kind of police station, they don't deal with that kind of thing, and that's why the guy was in no danger.

That was my point. Trading in crap knock-offs doesn't affect true demand for the real product. Digital piracy, however, is an exact clone.

Police keep a pretty low profile in Korea. I like it that way.
