I have a new handphone, and have just bought a cable for it. When I plugged it in my laptop (Win XP SP2) told me I needed the drivers but it couldnt find it on my HD. So I searched the internet, and could only find this site....
http://www.soft32.com/Download/Free/LG_CDMA_USB_Modem/4-173681-1.html
but it wont download. I tried the mirror, but could not find the driver on there.
Can anybody help?
I can buy a USB IR dongle, and that will be my next step, but would prefer the faster direct connection.

If you go from the Yongsan subway stop, along the walkway to the first building of the electronics market, then to the street level of that building, it is in a store there that sells all kinds of wires, plugs, cables etc.
I am bumping this again, as I cant get that fvcking thing to work either. I am usually not this useless with tech toys!!!

You probably have to go to te Korean LG website, look for your phone and download the drivers from there.
I had the same problem with my Motorola KRZR. Even US/EU drivers wouldn't work. I had to go to Motorola Korea website, and I finally found the right drivers for my phone there. |

What is your phone model? I just got a new samsung phone that has the ability to act as a harddrive and connect to the computer that worked no problem. But to get the software and it synced up was a real pain. Luckily someone had posted there login details online for us waygooks to use and i was able to login to the anycall site and download the appropriate software. But using the software is a whole other issue in itself. But i have managed to be able to transfer music and pictures on which is what i was looking to do. So yeah post your model number and i'll see if i can be of help. |

I just got a KTF phone as well, the LG260 model.
None of the drivers work.
The procedure is this, but it doesn't work.
You need the USB Modem drivers and the LG Sync drivers. Both are on the CD, or you can download from the www.cyon.com website.
But when you try to install the usbmodem driver, from the control panel, it doesn't recognize the driver. But you need this modem driver to be able to communicate with your phone via the USB cable that came with your phone.
It's a shame, my phone has 1gig of memory i can use but korean software s u c ks.
I even tried installing this on a PC Bang workstation, but didn't recognize the driver either.
i gave up..
Korean tech support doesn't exist. if it does, its just a bunch of moronic robots that just read the manuals to you and don't give a crap if their procedure doesn't work. |
