I guess you could call it a "veiled" threat, but I know you macho neocons don't believe anyone should be allowed to wear one of those. I just love the diversity we USA people have in our politics -- far right, middle right, and left-right. They march to the beat of the same drummers. (I see veiled ajumas quite often here in the Land of the Morning Calm. They think it protects them from getting avian flu.)

When negotiating, you never voluntarily take any of your options off of the table. You show weakness by doing so. If Iran builds a nuke, points it at Israel or the US, and threatens to launch it, then dropping a big bomb on them should be expected. To say otherwise would be lying or foolhardy.
That said, I wouldn't trust Bush with having any and all options available at his hands. He's shown that he can't be trusted with such a thing. |
