Does anyone know of a computer shop that can speak English? I need to get the ol' laptop fixed and would prefer to deal with someone who can speak English-ee. I live in northern Seoul but will travel if it means getting this bad boy back in shape again.
Thanks. |

Johnny Computer in Itaewon. It's located in the alley directly behind Kraze Burger. He speaks excellent English, but not sure about his repair prices.
I used to think he was a bit expensive for some accessories, but I've purchased an excellent webcam and router for him just 40,000 and 50,000 won respectively. |

He's not a bit expensive anymore, he has graduated into the massively expensive genre...seriously, 40,000 and I could hire a film crew.

We should get together and setup shop called "Undercutter's Computer" and our slogan would be "Beat johnny's prices by 10%." |

The guy isn't that bad on price (depends on what you buy) for a small shop. Gee... the guy has to earn a living. He offers a service most Korean shops don't -- he speaks English. His location is also convenient for people who don't know how to navigate the horrible layout of Youngsan.
With that said, there are a lot of things I'd buy somewhere else, due to price. |
