I bought a Nikon Digital Camera that's battery operated (can't remember the specific model but can provide later if absolutely necessary). I got it from E-Mart in February, went on vacation to Europe and during that vacation, the camera went to hell in a handbasket.

It keeps telling me that the battery has run out even though we tried a number of fresh batteries in it. Even when you press the power button it flickers a little before giving that battery warning message.

Basically, I need to know where I can take the camera to have it serviced... May it possibly still be under warranty? If not, on average how much do you think a repair for something like this would cost? Any information would be helpful! I am currently located in Cheonan but can travel to Gyeonggi if necessary (though obviously, anywhere near here would be best). Thanks in advance!

I just bought a Nikon digicam at a HomePlus 2 weeks ago and it comes with a 1 year in Korea warranty. Just talk to people in the camera places.

You do need your original store reciept for the warranty to be valid though. Otherwise, just ask around for a Nikon A/S shop for repair.

Alternavively, on the sencond or third floor in the corner of the old green electronics building in Yongsan (connected to the station via overpass)there is a Nikon (official) repair center. If you're anywhere near yongsan, go check it out! They will honor your warantee.

Thanks and thanks to both posters! I'll try going those routes and see what happens. It's always an adventure getting small things taken care of in Korea! Rolling Eyes
