as some of u know, i work in canada now. I'm a manager for a very large international financial logistics company. They are in korea too which i was shocked to find out.
Anyways, being a manager, i am introduced to all of the new people by my boss. My boss brings an asian looking guy to my office yesterday morning and said this is mr. kim.
I shook hands with him and asked him if was korean? He didnt understand so i asked him again. Again he didnt understand, so i asked him in korean if he was korean. Again, he didnt understand.
So i tried one last time and asked him his first name. His response: wenchok. I said wenchok is your first name? yes
So knowing that wenchok is korean for "left" i have no idea if this guy can speak english (i dont think he can) and he barely understood my korean, so now i just call him left |

I guess one possibility is he's an Asian who's not Korean, but knows a little bit of the language.
Tell him your name is "oh-run-chok" (sorry, no Hangul on this keyboard). |

korean doesnt show up on my computer anyways race.
it's funny u brought that up because i didnt say that was my name
but i did so ur name is left? as in left --- right
then i said it in korean but he still didnt get it.
last name is kim so he must be korean. i asked him
if he lived in seoul and he didnt understand the question.
I hope he has no employment issues since i wont be able to answer his questions in english or korean since he doesnt understand me in either language for some reason |

What's his job even? Doesn't sound helpful for a financial logistics company. |

This one takes the cake for two categories:
1) worst romanisation of a Korean word, and
2) most irrelevant and useless post.
KPRROK
PS - This post itself just took over number 2, but the original had the prize for a while. |

Maybe the next time a think happens to you you will embrace it rather than ignore such a momentous event. |

I used to be an emergency scheduler for a nationwide security company. I actually put this on my resume when I moved to Korea because I was used to talking with guys who had a minimum of English skills. |
