I was just informed that I gotta go. Of course, teacher's day is in the middle of that week and all the teachers get a day off except for me, who has to attend this thing.

Is there any way I can say that I'm going and just take a week off?

I will ask for a day in lieu because of the missed holiday.

Here's the e-mail I got from Wenise Kim when I asked about the accomodations:

The accommodation will be provided (free of charge of course) at the venue (most likely at La Vie D'or, Hwasung city), where 3-4 people will be sharing a room (single beds)

If you don't like sharing rooms, simply refuse to attend unless they provide single accommodation...I'm happy I don't have to attend. Very Happy

I hear Yongin, now Suwon. Does anyone know for sure? I asked my coteacher and she knows nothing except the date. I knew more from these postings than she did from the B.O.E.

I heard May 14th - May19th in Yongin...

Just refuse to attend like I did--but make sure you tell people WHY, or it won't change the next time this crap rolls down the hill.

Here's the last thread on the subject:

I have no idea WTF is going on. My co-teacher is in the dark about it, or just being clammy.

Just letting you know right now, or at least this is what I've heard from credible sources:

I'm a nasty snorer....

I'll apologize now on the net, so it's out.

I agree. If you don't like sharing rooms with some unknown freaky waygook, just refuse.

You're not in the Army, you are PROFESSIONAL waygook teachers so we all should get the presidential suites.

I got some friends in Suwon I can say with. I'm thinking I'll just leave at night and come back in the morning. I'm sure my room mates will keep hush hush about it because it'll be 1 less person they have to deal with.
