I have heard that you have to leave by the date of expiry of the E2, as printed on the card,

BUT have also heard that you have 2 weeks after that date.

A call to immigration might help clear it up. Anybody know for sure? I should know this and I'm sure the info is here somewhere, but just checking if there is a definitive answer or a mixed one. (I think there was a thread a while ago on this, can't find it now.)

EDIT: Found info on this thread: http://www.eslcafe.com/forums/korea/viewtopic.php?t=83987&highlight=

Gots to leave on the day your visa expired. Otherwise your visa would expire 2 weeks AFTER your contract does. Wink

You have until midnight on the last day indicated by your ARC to either:
a) leave the country
b) get an extension.
If you require a short extension you can obtain one by going to your local immigration office with your ARC, passport and plane ticket. They will extend you until the date of your ticket. This is free and can be done anytime within the last 30 days of your ARC.
