I just got a new Anycall phone and a LGT plan. How do i go about making it so that when people call me they here a song instead of what currently plays. I've installed the PC Manager software, but haven't found anything obvious in there for being able to change it.

I can't really help you, but I am almost certain it is not something you set on your actual phone. That sound people hear when your phone is ringing is generated from the central office, not coming from your phone. Even when you hear a ring when calling someone else, it is really fake; it is generated at the office and has nothing to do with the other phone ringing. In the old days before digital communications, it was a real ringback sound, not anymore.
Anyway, I think you have to have the central office change that for you; need to get a Korean to call them.
Just my guess

I'm with KTF and when I first got my account, I signed up for a "package" which included that music playing instead of a tone (when people call me). I dislike that so I got it removed - I think it costs 500won or 1000 won a month to have that "service."

I am not sure if you can request what music /song you want on it though...

Awesome. Just to be a punk I'd change my incoming ring to Cannibal Corpse and never answer the phone.

the above poster is correct. its not something that the phone does itself... you can purchase the tune for your callers from a website that is on your phone..
it cost about 900won to get mc hammer - u can`t touch this. Laughing
worthy every penny...

You can either choose songs with your phone's web browser/internet service or better yet, have a Korean friend send a song to you via text message from their phone. Takes about 3 minutes.

Ask one of your coworkers to help you out.

I recently made the switch from "Don't Worry, Be Happy" to "Remember the Name" by Fort Minor. I change mine about once a month.

So you guys who've done this. Do you have LGT? Did you do it through the musicon service or through EZ-i? Or at LGT's website or at Anycalls website? Do you have to choose a song that you download from them or can you use your own song from whereever? Thanks again.

It's called "Feel Ring". Just dial 114 on your phone to connect with LGT customer service and ask them to set it up for you. It costs around 1000 a month.

Ok, i called that number. I already have it set up. But actually changing the song can't be done over the phone. They told me to go to www.ez-i.co.kr and i haven't managed to make it any further than that as I can register a name without a Korean ID number.

The feature is called color ring or caller ring (컬러링). I use SKT by the way, other service providers may call it something else. You can use your phone's browser. However, if your Korean isn't up to snuff, you will have alot of difficulty.

OK, i got this to work. Here are some vague instructions.

First sign up at http://www.mylgt.co.kr/ you will need a Korean to help you. This site allows you to login at www.ez-i.co.kr where you actually set the ring. But i was unable to sign up at ez-i.co.kr. There are like 5 sites all connected so it doesn't really matter which one you sign up at.

After you successfully sign up, login at http://www.ez-i.co.kr/

Once you login on the left you'll see in English something that say Feel Ring. You can click more to browse. You can also use the phone to browse. And you can also type in something to the search engine and find the song. As far as i know you have to choose a song on the site and not your own. But i'm unsure about this. I can't read anything.

After you find the song you want, you can preview it by clicking the headphone icon next to it and you can click the down arrow icon to set it as your feel ring. It costs 1200 won i believe. And everytime you change the song it's 1200. When you successfully do it you'll receive a text message with the song name in it probably saying your feel ring has changed. Hope this helps.
