I was told by my school today, that they could probably spend 300,000 a month for my apartment if my family was here.
Does anybody have any factual information on what the government actually budgets for family housing in the EPIK program? Specifically Kyeoung San Buk Do?

Thanks.

Your contract doesn't have a clause like this:

Article 10(Housing)
1.Employer shall provide Employee with housing. All efforts will be made to provide an apartment within walking distance of the school or near transport facilities as indicated by employee.
2.Housing selected by Employer may be, including but not limited to, a leased house, dormitory, or an apartment. A single teacher will be provided with a one-room apartment on or off campus, and a married teacher with dependents will be provided with a residence with at least two bedrooms. Any and all fees, charges, costs, taxes, expenses, etc. incurred in using the housing shall be borne by Employee.

I will dig up my contract tomorrow. I'm a little under the 'alcohol' right now.
My school knows I am married with family, and told me some months ago that they would organize housing appropriate for a family when the time came. Qutoe, "two bedroom." That was discussed again today. I am in a one room, about 12 X 14 now. They know for sure it's not acceptable housing for a family, and they are aware that failing to meet minimum housing means, 'find another teacher'. The problem is, the province doesn't talk to the school, and vice versa. I think they'll be reasonable about it....but considering K logic, you just never know.
